Pocket PC Devices
A Pocket PC, abbreviated PPC, is a handheld-sized device which is run by a specific version
of the Windows CE operating system. In general software terms Pocket PC devices differ from
each other in versions of the Windows CE embedded in these devices. Therefore, Pocket PC devices
can be categorized by a specific version of the Windows CE.
On January 6, 2000 Microsoft introduced a new version of the Windows CE operating system code named
Rapier, as the Pocket PC. Since a handheld device which is run by the Pocket PC
2000 operating system is called just a Pocket PC device. Below there is a list of most popular Pocket
